This varied role combines mechanical design, project management and shop floor collaboration to deliver high-quality engineering solutions from concept through to production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems using SolidWorks (or similar CAD software).
  • Produce engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation.
  • Support production teams by resolving manufacturing issues and driving continuous improvement.
  • Manage engineering changes, product modifications and technical projects from concept to production.
  • Ensure designs meet customer requirements, industry standards and UK/European regulations.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, quality, sales and suppliers to deliver projects on time and within budget.

About You:

  • Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven mechanical design experience within manufacturing, ideally in commercial vehicles, agricultural, plant or heavy engineering.
  • Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor or similar).
  • Experience designing hydraulic systems and vehicle electrical wiring.
  • Knowledge of fabrication, welding and sheet metal manufacturing.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication and project management skills.
