Key Responsibilities
- Managing fleet compliance documentation and renewal schedules including: Vehicle Tax, Insurance, PSV / DOE requirements, MOT bookings, Thorough Examination Certificates, LOLER / PUWER records, Tachograph and O Licence related records, Service and inspection documentation
- Monitoring daily vehicle and plant inspections through a tracking / prestart application
- Scheduling preventative maintenance and defect repairs
- Liaising closely with mechanics, workshop staff, and management to ensure fleet uptime
- Maintaining accurate digital maintenance and compliance records
- Coordinating servicing, inspections, breakdowns, and repairs
- Ensuring all drivers complete daily walkaround checks correctly
- Assisting with audits and compliance inspections
- Monitoring fuel usage, fleet performance
- Planning and coordinating daily low loader plant movements and overseeing 8‑wheeler logistics to ensure efficient and timely delivery of equipment and materials.
Essential Requirements
- 3–5 years’ experience in a similar fleet, transport, or plant coordination role
- Strong understanding of fleet compliance and transport regulations within Northern Ireland
- Experience managing maintenance schedules and compliance systems
- Good organisational and administrative skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively
- Competent in the use of digital fleet management and tracking applications
Preferred Requirements
- Full clean Licence
- Knowledge of commercial vehicle workshop operations
- Experience with plant and transport compliance systems
- CPC qualification advantageous but not essential
