We are seeking an organised and proactive Agriculture Training Assistant to support the delivery and administration of training activities across the Agriculture division. The successful candidate will work closely with the Learning & Development Coordinator to ensure training records, documentation, systems, and reporting are maintained to the highest standard and remain audit-ready at all times. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and an interest in learning and development to join a busy and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Learning & Development Coordinator as required.
  • Ensure the latest versions of training documents are maintained and controlled in accordance with document control procedures.
  • Maintain accurate assessment and competency records to support training sign-off requirements.
  • Update the Learning Management System (LMS) accurately and promptly following completion of training activities.
  • Ensure all training records, assessments, and certificates are appropriately filed and maintained in an audit-ready condition.
  • Obtain purchase order numbers for training activities and maintain associated documentation.
  • Assist with new employee inductions and participate in induction delivery as required.
  • Produce training KPI reports and monitor completed and outstanding training requirements.
  • Communicate pending changes, current issues, and training priorities to relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and evaluate both internal and external training programmes, assessing effectiveness and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Take minutes during meetings and distribute actions where required.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the training function.
  • Undertake any other duties reasonably required to meet the needs of the business.

  • Problem-Solving Ability: Resolve administrative and logistical issues efficiently. Ensure training systems, records, KPIs, and reporting remain accurate and current.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with colleagues, managers, and other departments to support organisational training objectives.
  • Integrity and Professionalism: Handle confidential information appropriately. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and professional standards at all times.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Excellent computer and administrative skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable:

  • Previous office administration experience.
  • Experience within a training, learning and development, or HR environment.
  • Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS) or training databases.
  • Training administration experience.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) including English and Maths.

Desirable:

  • Further education qualification in Business Administration, Human Resources, Learning & Development, or a related discipline.
