Our busy Manufacturing client in the Dungannon area requires an experienced Purchaser to join a busy Purchasing Department. You will play a key role in sourcing and purchasing goods, raw materials, components and services, ensuring the business achieves on-time, in-full delivery while maintaining best value and cost effectiveness. Working closely with suppliers, Stores and internal departments, you will help maintain optimum stock levels, identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure a consistent and efficient purchasing process. Key Responsibilities Purchase materials, components and services in line with cost, quality and delivery requirements. Manage supplier relationships and negotiate pricing and terms. Ensure continuity of supply and proactively address potential shortages or delays. Identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities. Monitor supplier performance, costs, stock levels and shortages. Investigate and resolve purchasing, stock and payment discrepancies. Maintain accurate Bills of Materials and support kitting schedules. Work closely with Stores and internal teams to ensure materials are available on a JIT basis. Support stock reviews and purchasing processes. Produce purchasing and supplier performance reports. Develop strong product and supplier knowledge. The successful candidate will ideally have: 12 years' purchasing experience, including supplier negotiation and commercial understanding. A proven ability to identify cost savings and add value. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Good organisational and time-management skills. Strong attention to detail. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience using an MRP/ERP system. GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths. Previous purchasing experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment would be highly advantageous.
