An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Payroll Officer to join a busy finance team, taking full responsibility for the end-to-end payroll function to ensure accurate and timely processing. The role can be offered on a part-time basis (2.53 days per week), with flexibility around working days and hours. However, some time will need to be worked at the beginning of the week to align with payroll processing schedules. There is also potential for the role to be full-time, with additional responsibilities covering general finance administration.

The Role:

  • Managing weekly and monthly payroll for approximately 300 employees across multiple entities, including multi-jurisdiction payroll (NI and ROI)
  • Processing starters and leavers within the payroll system
  • Calculating statutory payments including sickness, parental and annual leave
  • Administering company pension and benefits schemes
  • Preparing payroll reports and maintaining accurate payroll records
  • Ensuring compliance with current payroll legislation and keeping up to date with any changes
  • Adhering to data protection regulations in relation to payroll data
  • Providing advice and support on payroll-related queries

The Person:

  • Previous experience in a payroll role is essential
  • Experience with payroll systems; exposure to system implementation is advantageous
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel
