Due to continued growth, a well-established and expanding manufacturing business is seeking to appoint a Head of Operations for a senior, site-critical role. This position will act as the Site Lead, with full responsibility for ensuring that production processes, raw materials, delivery schedules, and finished products consistently meet the highest technical and quality standards across a professional product range.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all on-site production processes
  • Provide technical support, including troubleshooting, customer feedback analysis, and issue resolution
  • Work closely with commercial, finance, technical, and customer service teams
  • Manage raw materials and work-in-progress to meet production requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations
  • Plan and manage staffing, productivity, and operational efficiency to meet daily targets and reduce waste
  • Ensure all production areas meet GMP and Health & Safety standards
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Support R&D activities, including trials and new product development
  • Monitor and report on KPIs, trends, and overall production performance to senior leadership

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience in a production or operations management role
  • Background in manufacturing, ideally within horticulture, agriculture, or a related sector
  • Strong technical understanding with the ability to analyse and present production data
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and ERP systems
  • Demonstrated experience in KPI reporting and performance analysis
