Warehouse Supervisor
Our client is a busy distribution business based outside Cookstown, they are currently recruiting a Warehouse Supervisor to manage a small but busy team with the business.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in warehousing, logistics and distribution and will be keen to take the next step in their career.
The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee our daily warehousing activities, be responsible for managing a team, ensuring accuracy in shipments, optimising warehouse space, and cultivating a safety-focused culture to meet operational targets.
- Key Duties
- Oversee picking, packing, and shipping processes to ensure error‑free and timely order fulfillment
- Identify and pre‑empt bottlenecks by evaluating upcoming orders and deliveries
- Supervise, train, and evaluate warehouse personnel, including assigning daily workloads
- Accurate recording of movements of goods inwards and outwards using SAP system
- Meeting daily KPIs for movement of pallets
- Liaising with Warehouse manager
- Communication with transport companies & drivers
- Stock taking duties as required
- Highlight shortages and damage and elevate accordingly
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety and hygiene regulations
Experience
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor, Team Lead, or similar operations role.
- Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Understanding of supply chain procedures, inventory control, and logistics.
- Excellent communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to drive a forklift
