Our busy manufacturing client in Cookstown is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join their team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will lead daily production activities across Laser, Press, Plasma, Cutting, and CNC operations, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and performance targets are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support production teams on a daily basis
  • Plan and monitor production schedules and workflow
  • Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure materials and resources are available to meet production demands
  • Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams
  • Promote a strong health & safety culture across the shop floor
  • Support employee training, development, and performance management
  • Lead daily and weekly production meetings

Essential Criteria

  • Previous supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong people management and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Good IT skills with experience using ERP/Oracle systems
  • Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities

Desirable

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques
  • Experience within machine shop or fabrication environments
