Our Client is a registered Charity seeking to recruit an Office Administrator for a 25 hour per week role. This will be over 5 days with the option to work from home 2-3 days per week.
The Role: The Administrator will play a central role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the charity, providing comprehensive administrative, organisational, and communication support to the chairperson, committee members, members and wider stakeholders.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage committee members’ diaries, meetings, agendas and minutes, including attending a monthly out-of-hours committee meeting.
- Provide general administrative support, including filing, correspondence, post and maintaining confidential records.
- Support the planning and delivery of charity events, campaigns and fundraising activities, including venue bookings, registrations and logistics.
- Manage the charity’s email inbox and telephone enquiries, responding professionally and directing queries as appropriate.
- Maintain the membership database, process new applications and issue welcome packs.
- Coordinate communications with members, fundraisers, volunteers and other stakeholders.
- Assist with fundraising administration, including merchandise orders and distribution.
- Support basic financial administration, including expenses, payments, budget tracking and monthly banking.
- Assist with volunteer recruitment, including advertising vacancies, arranging interviews and communicating with applicants.
- Produce a bi-annual newsletter and assist with content gathering.
- Provide administrative support for the charity’s website and social media channels, including Facebook and Instagram.
- Ensure all records and communications comply with confidentiality and data protection requirements.
Person Specification:
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grades A*-C) including English Language and Mathematics, or equivalent.
- 2 years’ experience in a busy Administrative environment.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Strong IT skills, including advanced use of Microsoft Excel (data analysis, reporting) and Word.
