As a result of winning new contracts, our client have an opportunity for anAccounts Technician or a Part qualifed Accountant to join their company
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Maintain sales and purchase ledgers on Sage Line 50.
- Payroll Function – Process Weekly Wages. Ensure any subsistence, foreman rates, expenses and other pay elements are included.
Using Sage 50 payroll for UK wages and Sage Micropay for ROI wages.
Process monthly salaries
Generate weekly/monthly payslips and enter net values on Draft Wages spreadsheet
Prepare CIS (UK) subcontractor payments and RCT (ROI) subcontractor payments.
- Bank Reconciliations
- VAT Returns – UK and ROI VAT Returns due every three months
- Accounts Payable – Perform weekly creditor analysis and advise on weekly payments.
- Monitoring Cashflow
- Manage Accommodation for employees outon site
- Monitor and book all staff training PTS, manual handling, abrasive wheels, CSR etc.
- Admin/HR Recruitment duties, purchase orders, answer calls from stakeholders and all other duties required.
- Vehicles ensure all Vehicle Tax and MOT is up to date.
Person Specification:
- A recognised Accounting/Finance qualification such as IATI/CIMA/ACCA is desireable
- A minimum of 3 years experience within an accounts or finance function is essential
- Ability to work on own initiative and implement procedures
- IT literate to include Microsoft Office and Sage
