Hatzfeld Care Ltd provides high quality residential and day care through our specialised mental health, Dementia care and residential care services. Each of our homes offers a unique environment providing high quality, consistent, responsive care in a homely, supportive setting.
This role will be based at a Care Home that specialises in dementia care. As a Support Worker you will be expected to work as part of a team by supporting the residents of the home. Providing practical support as well as encouraging independence in line with the wishes of the residents and the requirements of the management.
The Support Worker’s responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- To provide support and encouragement in tasks of household, personal and group management, including the following;
- To reinforce skills already learned.
- Becoming a Key worker with a Resident and planning and organising their care.
- Liaise with professional and other significant people.
- Assist to develop, prepare, monitor, maintain and review care and personal plans and update on the care app.
- Attend interviews and other meetings as required.
- Work on a flexible basis as required by the Registered Manager.
- Be involved in regular supervision sessions with the Registered Manager.
- Attend all training courses provided by the company.
- Attend and support residents’ house meetings.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings.
- Be responsible for adhering to the home’s philosophy, policies, and procedures.
- Administer/assist in administration of medication and maintain medication records.
