We are currently recruiting for a Mailroom Operative to join a prestigious financial hedge fund based in East London. This is a temporary position initially, with a strong likelihood of becoming permanent for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise mailroom staff, including scheduling, task allocation, cross-training, and performance support.
  • Lead team briefings on safety, procedures, and operations as required.
  • Monitor departmental mailing costs and drive efficiency and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Maintain and update mailroom policies and procedures, ensuring clear communication of changes.
  • Oversee print/production requests, conference room set-ups, and professional call handling.
  • Resolve operational issues and implement improved ways of working to meet team and customer objectives.
  • Lead by example, modelling behaviours aligned with the company values and fostering collaboration.

Experience & Skills

  • Previous mailroom experience preferred
  • Experience dealing with international packages is highly desirable
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
