Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and passionate Jewellery Cataloguer & Merchandiser (eCommerce) to enhance our online presence. This role involves all online areas of the business, such as cataloguing fine jewellery pieces as product listings on our website, as well as being responsible for online produced front-of-house enquiries by telephone, email and livechat. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with exceptional jewellery pieces while being part of a friendly and expert team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately catalogue fine jewellery pieces, detailing specifications such as gemstones, metal types, weights, and unique attributes for e-commerce product listings
- Write compelling and SEO-friendly product descriptions that highlight the craftsmanship, heritage, and features of each piece.
- Manage online merchandising, ensuring collections are visually appealing, well-organized, and regularly updated.
- Monitor inventory levels, coordinating with purchasing and stock teams to ensure accurate availability online.
- Work closely with the marketing team to support online promotions, product launches, and campaign execution.
- Analyse website performance and customer engagement, making data-driven recommendations for improvements.
- Maintain and update product information, pricing, and metadata across all online sales channels.
- Build and manage relationships with online retail customers.
Essential Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous experience in jewellery cataloguing, merchandising, or eCommerce
- Strong knowledge of gemstones, precious metals, and jewellery craftsmanship
- Excellent writing skills with a keen eye for detail
- Understanding, or willingness to learn SEO principles and digital merchandising best practices.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- A collaborative team player with a proactive attitude and a passion for fine jewellery.
- Demonstrate great commercial awareness.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure product listings are accurate, visually appealing, and optimised for search
- Ability to work collaboratively, contributing to a cohesive and productive work environment
- Comfortable having autonomy and responsibility within the role

- Industry qualifications such as GIA or Gem-A beneficial but not essential.
- Familiarity with Shopify preferable, but not essential
