Hattingley Valley is a leading English winery, which has grown into one of the largest and most respected producers in the country. We are located near Alresford in Hampshire. An opportunity to join one of the leading English wine producers in a thriving industry. Due to the increasing demand for our wines, we are seeking to expand our sales team.
We are looking for a proactive, dynamic individual who will manage and seek to grow sales across on & off-trade channels, primarily covering the Hampshire area, but support in surrounding areas may be required. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the key responsibilities of the role are:
- Provide excellent customer service and support to our established local trade business by way of on-site tastings, trainings, dinners and visits to the winery.
- Follow up on leads for venues looking to stock Hattingley in Hampshire and prospecting new accounts.
- Work in conjunction with some of our UK distributor’s sales team to look at opportunities to list Hattingley, in addition to providing introductions to their sales team for new accounts.
- Provide assistance when necessary at the winery in hosting tour visits for trade groups.
- Attend trade shows, consumer events, tastings when required acting as a Hattingley Brand Ambassador.
With time there will be opportunity to expand the area that you will work in.
About you:
- Someone who is proactive in selling and building relationships.
- You may be currently working in a wine retail, hospitality, or sales role.
- You are passionate about wine and are keen to learn about English sparkling wine.
- You are naturally enthusiastic and confident presenting in front of a crowd.
- You are personable with a timely sense of humour.
- You may be required from time to time to work on a weekend day, with occasional evening work.
- Preferred WSET Level II or III.
- UK driving license and own transport essential.
Primarily Mon-Fri, the role will be based out of the Hattingley office in Hampshire, however a good deal of time will be spent visiting customers. Contributory pension scheme, 25 days paid holiday plus all public holidays, annual staff wine allowance and further discounts.
