The Opportunity
Hatched Talent Solutions are partnering with a well-established, family-run construction specialist to recruit an Estimator / Design Coordinator. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced, methodical professional looking for a stable, long-term role where you can genuinely make the position your own without the pressure of constant career ladder climbing. You’ll work closely with senior leadership, playing a key role in pricing, design coordination, and project evaluation across large-scale construction projects (£500k - £2.5m+).

The Role
This position is focused on supporting and eventually owning elements of the estimating and design process, including:
- Producing take-offs and bills of quantities
- Working with drawings using tools like AutoCAD / Bluebeam / CAD systems
- Building and managing costing spreadsheets
- Liaising with design teams to ensure project compliance before pricing
- Gathering and analysing supplier/subcontractor quotes
- Supporting project reviews and ensuring accuracy across all estimates
- Contributing to improved processes and ways of working
You’ll initially work alongside the Director, with scope to take on more ownership over time.
What We’re Looking For

- Experience in construction estimating, design coordination, or similar
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD / digital measuring tools
- Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and technical drawings
- Organised, methodical, and detail-oriented

- Experience in roofing or specialist construction is beneficial but not essential.
