Hatched Talent Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Production Manager ready to step into a broader Operations Manager role. If you’re currently running shifts, managing output, hitting KPIs, and leading teams on the floor but want more ownership, more influence, and a seat at the table this is your move.
The Opportunity:
- Managing performance, controlling costs, and leading teams to consistently hit targets.
- You won’t just be maintaining standards; you’ll be expected to improve them.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Driving Production Performance: Take ownership of night shift output and ensure all targets are delivered. Monitor KPIs across productivity, quality, and cost. Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements that increase output and reduce waste.
- Leading from the Front: Manage, motivate, and develop production teams. Set clear expectations and hold teams accountable to performance standards. Build a culture of ownership, discipline, and consistency on shift.
- Taking Control of Operations: Support and deputise for the General Manager when required. Ensure smooth handovers and communication across shifts. Maintain full oversight of labour, resource, and operational planning.
- Managing Cost & Efficiency: Control labour, energy, and operational spend. Use data and reporting to drive smarter decisions. Continuously look for ways to improve margins through operational performance.
- Ensuring Standards & Compliance: Maintain high standards across quality, safety, and housekeeping. Drive a strong Health & Safety culture on-site. Ensure all processes are followed and continuously improved.
What We’re Looking For:
- Background as a Production Manager, Shift Manager, or similar.
- Proven experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of KPIs, output, and operational performance.
- Hands-on leader who leads from the floor, not the office.
- Comfortable making decisions, solving problems, and driving change.
