Due to their rapid and exciting plans, we are now looking to speak with an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager to join their team permanently.
Their impressive projects range from £10k to £300k and include recent successes like new car showrooms, university accommodation refurbishments, and energy-saving LED lighting upgrades. They pride themselves on delivering comprehensive electrical solutions, including installation, maintenance, and energy-saving upgrades. Backed by a team of electricians and a network of trusted subcontractors, they ensure quality and scalability for projects of any size.
As the Contracts Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Attending regular project progress and design review meetings as necessary, contributing to project planning activities and progress tracking.
- Generating a Bill of quantities from drawings to facilitate estimating and purchasing processes.
- Conducting site surveys to support costing or design efforts.
- Collaboration on projects to identify opportunities for sales, cost reduction and value engineering where appropriate.
- Working alongside the director to identify and pursue new opportunities and potential clients.
- Managing material orders, supervising a small team of electricians, completing timesheets, conducting HSE audits, performing accident investigations, and proposing corrective actions as needed.
- Fostering cohesive communication and teamwork.
- Engagement with the clients team members throughout project execution and attend meetings.
- Ensuring the accurate installation of electrical systems in accordance with specifications.
- Generating estimates and quotes for potential projects.
- The ability to run projects from £5K to £500k from tender to final account.
- Identifying and accurately documenting project variations.
- Adhering to Quality Assurance systems and processes to uphold quality standards.
- Ensuring compliance with project-specific quality and legislative requirements.
- Fulfilling additional duties as required within the scope of the job and in alignment with company needs.
Required Skills & Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar Electrical Contracts Manager role.
- 18th Edition.
- A proven track record of delivering successful Electrical projects in the range of £5k to £500k.
- Experience working on projects in various sectors, including schools, education, care homes, retail, commercial, and offices.
- A current ECS Card and a clean driving licence.
- Strong contract management, estimating and design skills.
- Excellent IT skills and a knack for problem-solving under pressure.
- A "hands-on" approach with a "can-do" attitude and a focus on exceeding customer expectations.
- Commercially aware with a good collection of contacts within the industry.
What we offer:
- Salary - £40,000 - £50,000.
- Yearly Bonus of between 5% and 10%.
