With over 40 years of service supporting sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies across the Bath and Bristol area, this small but highly experienced team offers a fantastic opportunity for a personal tax professional to grow and thrive in a supportive, hands-on environment.
We're looking for an experienced individual to join their team, focusing on personal tax alongside accounts preparation for small businesses, partnerships, and landlords. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys working across a varied portfolio, values strong client relationships, and thrives in a collaborative setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and submit self-assessment tax returns
- Prepare accounts for sole traders and partnerships
- Submit quarterly VAT returns
- Handle personal tax, payroll, and CIS matters
- Liaise with HMRC and other relevant external bodies
- Confident use of accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, and Hubdoc
- ATT or AAT qualified (or qualified by experience)
- Minimum 2–3 years' experience in personal tax and accountancy
- Sound knowledge of UK tax legislation and compliance
- Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach
- Competitive Salary: £34,000 – £40,000 depending on experience (Full-time equivalent)
