Location: Islington, London (N5 2EQ)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 4 PM

Salary: £19.00 - £20.00 per hour

About the Role:

We are seeking a Mobile Maintenance Electrician to join our team, providing essential electrical maintenance and repair services within a school setting. This role requires a reliable and skilled professional with a strong understanding of electrical systems, compliance regulations, and a proactive approach to safety and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance, fault finding, and repairs on electrical systems within the school.
  • Ensure compliance with the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and other relevant safety standards.
  • Conduct inspections, testing, and certification of electrical installations.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and emergency repairs.
  • Work closely with the school's facilities team to ensure a safe and functional environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, risk assessments, and compliance documentation.
  • Respond promptly to electrical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to school operations.
  • Adhere to health & safety regulations, safeguarding both staff and students.

Requirements:

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) - Essential
  • Previous experience working in a school, educational facility, or similar environment - Preferred
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent) - Desirable
  • 2391 Testing & Inspection qualification - Advantageous
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) - Required
  • Strong knowledge of electrical fault-finding and maintenance
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
