About the Role:
We are seeking a Mobile Maintenance Electrician to join our team, providing essential electrical maintenance and repair services within a school setting. This role requires a reliable and skilled professional with a strong understanding of electrical systems, compliance regulations, and a proactive approach to safety and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, fault finding, and repairs on electrical systems within the school.
- Ensure compliance with the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and other relevant safety standards.
- Conduct inspections, testing, and certification of electrical installations.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and emergency repairs.
- Work closely with the school's facilities team to ensure a safe and functional environment.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, risk assessments, and compliance documentation.
- Respond promptly to electrical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to school operations.
- Adhere to health & safety regulations, safeguarding both staff and students.
Requirements:
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) - Essential
- Previous experience working in a school, educational facility, or similar environment - Preferred
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent) - Desirable
- 2391 Testing & Inspection qualification - Advantageous
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) - Required
- Strong knowledge of electrical fault-finding and maintenance
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
