Location: Middlesbrough (covering Teesside, Northumberland to Scunthorpe)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Salary: Circa £13.00 per hour

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Installation Operative to join our team, working on a variety of street lighting installation projects across the region. This is a hands-on role requiring technical expertise, teamwork, and a commitment to high safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Street Lighting Installation: Carrying out cable detection, excavation, trunking, cable and column installation, and full reinstatement in roadside, highway, and grass verge locations.
  • Vehicle & Equipment Operation: Driving and operating a HIAB vehicle, performing banksman duties to ensure safe operations.
  • Technology & Reporting: Using a tablet-based bespoke database to receive, edit, and complete work projects (training provided).
  • Festive Installations & Maintenance: Assisting with the installation and removal of festive decorations and carrying out periodic painting missions on street lighting assets.
  • Compliance & Training: Attending relevant training to meet the role's requirements and maintain high safety and operational standards.

About You

  • Previous experience in street lighting installation or a similar role.
  • A valid HIAB licence and experience operating a HIAB vehicle (preferred).
  • Basic IT skills to manage work orders via a tablet (training provided).
  • A valid UK driving licence (essential).
  • A strong commitment to health and safety regulations.
