Job Description

Facilities Officer (Buildings Services and Maintenance)

We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Facilities Officer to join a well-established public sector organisation on a temporary basis. You will support the day-to-day management and maintenance of key corporate buildings, ensuring they remain safe, secure, and compliant with all statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily building maintenance and customer service across corporate sites
  • Conduct safety inspections and support emergency management, including fire warden and first aid duties
  • Manage access control and ID card systems for staff, visitors, and contractors
  • Serve as first point of contact for building queries and coordinate minor repairs and contractor visits
  • Ensure buildings are unlocked and locked on schedule and provide out-of-hours emergency cover (standby payments apply)

Who You Are:

  • Experienced in Facilities Management within corporate or tenanted buildings
  • Knowledgeable about fire safety regulations and statutory compliance
  • Customer-focused with strong communication skills
  • Self-motivated with a practical, hands-on approach
  • Flexible to work some evenings, weekends, and emergency call-outs
  • Hold a valid driving licence and have access to your own vehicle
