We are working on behalf of our client to recruit an experienced and proactive Area Tenancy Manager to deliver high-quality tenancy services across a designated housing portfolio. This is a rewarding opportunity for a housing professional with a strong commitment to tenant satisfaction, tenancy sustainment, and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage tenancies end-to-end, from let to re-let, taking full ownership of the tenant journey.
- Build strong, positive relationships with tenants, supporting their independence and wellbeing.
- Ensure homes are safe, suitable, and maintained to a high standard, in line with statutory and regulatory obligations.
- Promote financial inclusion and support tenants in meeting rental obligations.
- Deliver visible, accessible tenancy management services within the community.
- Take initiative in complex tenancy, ASB, and safeguarding cases to secure positive outcomes.
- Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to coordinate services and support.
- Carry out regular inspections of properties and communal areas, ensuring high standards of health and safety compliance.
- Drive performance against KPIs, including income recovery, void turnaround, tenancy audits, and tenancy sustainment.
- Manage complaints, member enquiries, and community issues with professionalism and responsiveness.
- Experience managing tenancies within social housing or a related sector.
- Strong knowledge of relevant housing legislation, benefits systems, and safeguarding responsibilities.
- Excellent communication, case management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and make sound decisions.
- Confident using IT systems, including Microsoft Office and housing management platforms.
- Comfortable attending home visits, court proceedings, and community walkabouts.
- Committed to equality, tenant engagement, and continuous professional development.
- CIH Level 3 or above
- Experience managing ASB, Domestic Abuse, and complex housing cases
