• Support delivery of the Internal Audit Plan
• Manage and deliver a varied portfolio of audit assignments
• Provide assurance on internal controls, risk management and governance
• Work closely with senior management to agree improvements
• Conduct research, prepare terms of reference and plan audit work
• Undertake follow-up reviews and contribute to continuous improvement
• Analyse data and identify control effectiveness
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders and present findings
• Report significant risk or governance issues
• Adhere to auditing standards, policies, and relevant regulations
• Use new technology to support efficient audit delivery

Requirements

• ACA, ACCA, CIA or equivalent (part-qualified considered)
• Minimum 3+ years internal audit experience
• Public sector and school audit experience highly beneficial
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Able to build effective working relationships
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
• Must be eligible to work in the UK
• 12-week contract starting 5 January 2026
• Interviews held via Teams on 11 and 12 December 2025
• Office presence required twice per week in the London Borough of Bexley
