Hatched Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Caretaker on behalf of Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced caretaker or facilities operative to join the Community Facilities & Resources Team.
The Role: You will be responsible for ensuring council premises are maintained to a high standard, supporting building users, carrying out general caretaking duties, and ensuring the facility is safe, clean and ready for use.
Key Duties Include:
- Carrying out general caretaking and basic maintenance tasks
- Setting up and dismantling equipment for events and room bookings
- Completing cleaning duties across the facility, including toilets, kitchens and communal areas
- Acting as a key holder and supporting building security
- Carrying out health & safety checks and reporting any issues
- Maintaining outdoor areas, including car parks and general surroundings
- Providing excellent customer service to facility users and members of the public
Essential Criteria:
- Previous caretaking, facilities, cleaning or maintenance experience
- Experience in areas such as cleaning, minor repairs, security, equipment setup or similar
- Knowledge of health & safety procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence and access to transport desirable
Working Hours: 37 hours per week, early and late shifts on alternate weeks
