Leading on non-housing corporate assets while supporting the housing function. Potential to manage up to three direct reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out condition surveys and repair assessments across housing and corporate assets.
  • Prepare scopes of works, specifications, and schedules.
  • Take responsibility for compliance oversight, including statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage repairs, maintenance, and planned works.
  • Support procurement activities, including obtaining quotes and potential tendering.
  • Act as Contract Administrator using JCT and NEC contracts.
  • Liaise with contractors, internal teams, residents, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure works are delivered safely, compliantly, and to programme.
  • Maintain accurate asset and stock condition data.
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience as a Building Surveyor or Senior Building Surveyor.
  • Local authority and/or housing experience preferred.
  • Experience handling compliance-related matters.
  • HNC minimum in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of HHSRS.
  • Strong understanding of building construction and pathology.
  • Experience with procurement and contractor management.
  • Confident working independently and supporting junior staff.

Additional Information: Mixed portfolio of housing and non-housing corporate assets. Site visits required. Suitable for someone able to start quickly and add value.
