Hatched Recruitment Group is recruiting on behalf of Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council for Health & Fitness Officers to join the team across two leisure sites, on a temporary basis. 4 positions available - 2 at Lough Moss Leisure Centre and 2 at Billy Neill MBE Country Park.
Key details:
- Pay: £14.13 per hour (PAYE)
- Hours: 8 hours per week (rota includes evenings, weekends and public holidays)
- Duration: 24 weeks
- Start date: 28th September 2026
Key responsibilities:
- Monitoring the gym floor and equipment, preparing personalised fitness programmes and undertaking fitness testing
- Promoting and delivering gym classes for customers ranging from school age to senior citizens
- Supporting delivery of exercise referral schemes, liaising with health professionals and maintaining GDPR-compliant records
- Supporting the promotion of Vitality membership and delivery of induction sessions
- Helping maintain Health & Safety standards and equipment presentation across the facility
- Complying with Child Protection and Vulnerable Adult policies
What we're looking for:
- 5 GCSEs (A-C) / NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, or 4 years' relevant experience
- A current Fitness or Gym Instruction Level 2 qualification
- At least 2 years' experience in lifestyle/fitness testing and health promotion within the leisure industry
- Competent in Word, Excel and Outlook
- Enhanced Access NI check required
