We are currently recruiting for an experienced Carpenter to join a busy repairs and maintenance team in Coalville. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Carpenter (NVQ Level 2) looking for a stable, Monday-to-Friday position with weekly pay and varied work.
The Role
- You will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of carpentry repairs and maintenance works within occupied properties, ensuring jobs are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Duties include:
- Repairs and maintenance to internal and external doors, frames, locks and hinges
- Installation and repair of skirting boards, architraves and kitchen units
- Flooring repairs and minor joinery works
- Diagnosing faults and determining the most appropriate repair solution
- Completing repairs on a right-first-time basis wherever possible
- Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health and safety procedures
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Communicating professionally with tenants and keeping them updated on repairs
- Accurately recording job information using handheld devices or job management systems
- Working collaboratively with other trades and support teams
- Reporting any safeguarding concerns identified during visits
