We are recruiting on behalf of a local authority for an experienced and committed Family Support Worker to join their Children's Specialist Services team. This role involves working directly with children, young people, and families to provide high-support key work that delivers measurable and positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver whole-family, strength-based assessments and develop tailored support plans.
- Coordinate multi-agency interventions and ensure children's voices are central to planning.
- Facilitate or advise on Family Group Conferences, mediation, and restorative sessions.
- Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and attend court as required.
- Work flexibly in family homes and community settings, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Health & Social Care, or another child-related qualification.
- Experience case-holding children, young people, and families with complex needs.
- Ability to deliver and monitor SMART plans.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and multi-agency collaboration skills.
- IT literate with GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- FGC accreditation is desirable for those leading Family Group Conferences.
