About the role:
We are recruiting Field-Based Resource Advisors to support Belfast City Council's Waste Management Service. This is a frontline, community-based role focused on improving recycling behaviours, supporting environmental initiatives, and engaging directly with residents and businesses across Belfast.
Key duties:
- Field-based door-to-door engagement with households and businesses
- Providing waste and recycling advice and education
- Supporting environmental awareness campaigns and recycling schemes
- Carrying out surveys, data collection, and reporting using handheld devices
- Undertaking communal site assessments and follow-up actions
- Supporting customer enquiries and service improvements
- Driving Council vehicles as required
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence (essential for all posts)
- Experience in a public-facing/customer service role
- Comfortable working in a field-based, outdoor environment
- Strong communication and data recording skills
- Ability to manage challenging conversations professionally
