Overview

An exciting, and rare, opportunity has come up in the North West for a Bid Team Leader, working for a leading law firm. Managing a small team you will take ownership of guiding the function to becoming the best they can be.

Role and responsibilities

The role will have a small team reporting into it who, in turn and alongside yourself, will partner closely with the firm to ensure that the business is winning the business that it wants to work on and providing innovative and engaging bids and proposals for work across the private and public sectors. You will ensure that there is a robust Go/NoGo process in place to ensure that only relevant bids that the business want to win are worked on, where necessary building those relationships internally to be able to influence across the board and make sure necessary due diligence is done before bidding commences. You will be coaching and mentoring colleagues in all aspects of the bid process to aid with increasing the win percentage and working on all manner of bids and tenders from major public sector frameworks to individual commercial proposals.

Opportunity

This role represents a rare opportunity to take the step up in the bidding function from a strategic but delivery focused operator to a more commercial strategy emphasis, looking at what is best for the wider team, the wider firm and ensuring the adherence to the policies as a function. This role represents a great stepping stone towards a Head of Bidding position in a top tier law firm.

Requirements

In order to be successful at application you will need to have considerable experience at a Bid Manager/Senior Bid Manager level within a law or accountancy firm. Ideally you will be APMP qualified. the ability to build internal relationships, influence senior stakeholders and manage a team are a must. The cherry on the cake will be experience submitting tenders for large public sector frameworks.
