Job Summary: The Air Freight Assistant Manager ensures smooth end-to-end import operations and collaborates with department managers to implement strategic air freight initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor daily import activities including shipment documentation, carrier coordination, customs compliance, billing, and job closure to ensure operational accuracy.
- Enforce adherence to established processes and service standards to maintain consistent quality and compliance.
- Identify operational and system issues, assist in implementing process improvements, and support initiatives to enhance workflow efficiency and effectiveness.
- Coordinate with Airfreight Operations, Customs, and other departments to facilitate seamless execution of import shipments.
- Supervise staff managing all stages of the import process from shipment receipt to delivery and billing, ensuring team performance and customer satisfaction.
