The Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau is a membership organization committed to building and promoting community through business. We also serve as the official tourism bureau for the Hastings area and are proud to host the community’s signature festival, Rivertown Days. We are a small but mighty team that thrives on collaboration with dedicated volunteers. Position
The Hastings Chamber & Tourism Marketing Coordinator plays a key role in tourism and chamber event marketing. This position manages our tourism social media and website, assists chamber event marketing, oversees visitor services at the Welcome Center, and supports major events like Rivertown Days.
Key Responsibilities
- Digital Marketing: Manage social media and websites.
- Marketing Collateral: Prepare marketing materials for distribution.
- Visitor Experience: Organize the Welcome Center, answer phones, greet and assist visitors, and fulfill requests for travel brochures.
- Event Support: Assist with Hastings Rivertown Days and other Chamber events.
- Administrative Support: Provide general office and administrative assistance as needed.
Status & Salary
Part‑time, non‑exempt position (20 hours/week in‑office). Starting pay: $21.00/hour. Benefits include: 7 paid holidays, accrued paid time off, retirement matching program, reimbursement of business travel, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
Social media expertise with a creative eye for engaging content. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Minimum two years of professional experience (tourism, communications, marketing, or related field preferred).
