The Summer Student position supports the Paramedic Service by assisting with fleet management and logistics.

  • Fleet management involves the movement of out-of-service ambulances and emergency service vehicles to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Washing, cleaning and disinfecting ambulances.
  • Receiving, checking and RFID tagging of medical supplies.
  • Pick-up and delivery of medical supplies to Paramedic Bases including re-stocking.
  • Participating in preventative maintenance activities.
  • Participating in public relation activities as required.
  • Assisting with the relocation of assets to the new Stirling Base.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Enrolled as post‑secondary student (College/University, preferably as a Paramedic Student) and returning to full‑time education at a post‑secondary institution in September 2026.
  • Must have a Class G license (class F preferred).
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Police background check required.
  • Confidentiality Agreement must be signed.
  • Must be willing to relocate to the Stirling Base once operational.

Hours of Work: Monday – Friday, 8:30 – 4:30

Position Length: May 11 – August 28, 2026

Wage Range: $18.00–$20.00 per hour + 4% vacation per pay
