Role overview
To deliver our profit and growth targets for Home, through the use of innovative analytics, creating a new product within the Home eco system, which leads to segmented pricing changes that we can apply to our live rates and generate incremental growth for the Home portfolio.
Job details
- Create and maintain analytical tools to support in the management of our risk portfolio.
- Develop best in-class models to predict claims outcomes and market premiums.
- Engineer powerful new rating factors to be deployed into our rating algorithms.
- Identify, analyse and monetise new data sources.
Essential skills/experience:
- Strong programming skills.
- Proven track record of delivering commercial value.
- Experience using Python and ML libraries to build data science/machine learning products in a commercial environment.
- Keen interest in emerging ML techniques and their commercial value.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Actuaries and Pricing Analysts.
Desirable
- Experience using cloud-based ML technologies.
- Experience in general insurance.
- GitHub as a code collaboration tool.
- Experience using structured query languages (SQL).
