Lead a team of Risk Pricing Analysts to deliver overall profit and growth targets for underwriting through adjustments to the risk pricing models.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing & delivering new insight, including the integration of new data, new analytical techniques and new ways of working.
  • Identify opportunities to improve risk pricing models to expand competitive footprint or rectify unprofitable segments.
  • Lead Risk Pricing projects & project teams to generate value for the wider business.
  • Develop key risk pricing tools and approaches.
  • Lead and support risk pricing analysts through peer reviews, coaching and mentoring.
  • Ensure customers' fair and reasonable expectations are met and provide fair outcomes; question and challenge peers and managers where processes do not meet these expectations and where activities do not place customers' interests at the heart of the business.
  • Ensure completion of all training as mandated by the company and regulated by the FCA.
  • Ensure that direct reports and self achieve and demonstrate levels of competence required to fulfil job requirements.
  • Comfortable working with numerical/statistical data.
  • Good skills in using statistical/data manipulation packages (preferred) with aptitude for building advanced skills.
  • Pro-active approach to driving change.
  • Critically evaluates information.
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Confidence to express opinions / challenge.
  • Pricing/analytics experience in the financial services sector.
  • Basic knowledge of the Insurance market.
