Role Overview
You will design, develop, and carry out robust, independent risk‑based audits focused on the Home/Household Supply Chain to provide assurance that customer outcomes are fair and reasonable, regulatory practice is adhered to, best practices are applied, and financial risk is managed.
Key Responsibilities
- Accountable for the control and analysis of supplier audit outcome data, sharing, and reporting identified trends; recommending data‑driven solutions to stakeholders and supporting improvements and outsourcing operational efficiencies within supplier firms.
- Develop complete understanding of all internal and supplier claims processes, new commercial initiatives, best practices, and the impact of inefficient processes or poor outcomes on the customer journey, leakage, and financial or fraud risks.
- Design and develop effective audit approaches, capturing mechanisms flexible enough to accommodate changing business needs and to capture, monitor, and measure performance.
- Manage relationships with senior stakeholders within each supplier, ensuring scoping, attendance, agendas, and feedback are delivered effectively and that results are communicated clearly.
- Complete on‑site and remote risk‑based audits – applying technical knowledge to contract builds and terms to develop audit questions and deliver independent, balanced, accurate, evidence‑based reporting.
- Apply root‑cause analysis, assessing systems and controls, complaints (including FOS), and identifying areas for indemnity savings, strengths, and development; provide focused solutions.
Qualifications
- Strong audit experience within the supplier/supply chain space in a regulated environment such as insurance or financial services.
- Strong analytical skills – able to interpret management information, identify risk and opportunity, and communicate findings to a wide range of stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills are a must.
- Coaching ability is highly advantageous for developing internal teams and external supply chain partners.
