The Process Design Lead will be responsible for driving effective process management and continuous improvement across the Claims functions. This role will identify, own, and deliver enhancements that strengthen operational performance, customer experience, and risk control. Using a clear and robust process improvement framework, the role will bring together key stakeholders to conduct holistic reviews of end‑to‑end journeys and processes. Through this, it will deliver meaningful, measurable improvements across quality, efficiency, compliance, and customer outcomes. In addition, the Process Design Lead will act as the function's subject‑matter expert for process management, providing guidance on best practice and strengthening process governance. The role will also play a critical part in shaping the use of data and insight to inform intelligent, evidence‑based process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design, delivery and embedding of the Process Improvement Framework.
  • Lead end‑to‑end strategy, process and journey reviews, using appropriate tools and methodologies to identify improvement and innovation opportunities.
  • Use data and analytical tools to uncover inefficiencies, control gaps, root causes and process adherence issues, collaborating closely with operational and commercial stakeholders.
  • Document improvement actions, own delivery of agreed changes, track impact and provide clear, regular reporting.
  • Produce timely, accurate and accessible colleague guidance, including Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Support capability building by designing and delivering internal training and ongoing coaching.
  • Partner with change teams and business stakeholders to drive alignment and embed a culture of continuous improvement across the function.

Qualifications

  • Operational process experience ideally gained within insurance or financial services.
  • Strong experience of process improvement and strategic change delivery.
  • Ability to inspire and influence change at all levels.
  • A strong understanding of risk, control and assurance.
  • Broad understanding of commercial objectives.
