Responsibilities
- Partner with your aligned business area and support the delivery of agreed commercial and people outcomes through informed coaching, employee‑relations expertise, and change initiatives.
- Proactively work with leaders to drive early identification and resolution of issues across core areas.
- Coach leaders to understand and apply agreed policies and processes, ensuring support for consistent and fair decision‑making.
- Manage employee‑relations case‑work end‑to‑end, advising and coaching leaders on best practices to achieve fair and reasonable outcomes.
- Identify and highlight trends emerging from case‑work to support the leadership team in addressing key risk and improvement areas, providing effective and insightful reporting.
- Overall manage complex employee‑relations matters in a highly regulated, fast‑paced environment.
Qualifications
- Strong experience within employee relations in a highly regulated environment (e.g., insurance, financial services).
- Experience supporting organisations through periods of organisational change, including planning, leading and supporting change programmes, and redeployment strategies.
- Comfortable operating at pace while managing multiple priorities and adapting to evolving business needs.
- Proven experience leading collective and individual consultation processes, including work with trade unions and colleague forums.
- Strong understanding of the Employment Rights Act 2025 and the ability to translate legislative requirements into practical, commercially sensible ER advice.
- Clear understanding of processes involving absence management, conduct, grievances and performance‑management cases, and use of management information.
