Role Overview

As a Claims Auditor, you will work with stakeholders to deliver effective audits and reporting, focusing on robust, risk‑based audits across Household Claims, ensuring fair customer outcomes, compliance, and financial risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a complete understanding of internal claims processes, new initiatives, best practices and the impact of inefficient processes on customer service, leakage and fraud.
  • Develop and carry out robust, risk‑based audits across Household (within Insurer Services).
  • Deliver balanced, accurate and evidenced feedback to leadership and teams, highlighting strengths and areas of development, and providing solutions where appropriate.
  • Identify areas for indemnity savings and take appropriate steps to deliver financial benefits in line with personal and business objectives.
  • Manage root cause analysis for all complaints, including FOS, and recommend improvements to reduce justified complaints, increase renewal retention, and comply with FCA regulatory requirements.
  • Review the quality of work conducted by yourself and colleagues to ensure audit objectives have been met and that the data provided is of high integrity.

Essential Skills/Experience

  • Strong audit experience in a regulated environment (insurance, financial services, energy, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret MI and identify areas of risk and opportunity.
  • Confidence communicating and providing feedback to stakeholders and teams at all levels.
  • Specific household/home/motor audit experience is beneficial but not essential.
