Under the leadership of our Restaurant Manager, Eimear Courtney, you will assist the Manager in providing leadership to our team, ensuring the smooth day-to-day supervision of our busy hotel restaurant team. We want to help you to develop your skills and offer an extensive range of learning and development opportunities.
The successful candidate will have worked in a busy Food and Beverage environment and be able to lead, motivate and support your team members to achieve success. You can expect to work 35 hours per week (excluding breaks), five shifts out of seven including weekends. Hours vary to cover breakfast, but a typical shift pattern is 6.30am-2.30pm. The rate of pay for this full-time position starts from £23,000.00 depending on experience.

About The Role:
- To be responsible for the supervision of the Food and Beverage Team.
- To take responsibility for the effective supervision of the restaurant employees, to ensure efficient operation of the function and delivery of Hastings product and service standards.
- To promote and contribute to a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.
- To ensure quality standards and procedures are fully understood and implemented, and daily checking procedures are fully applied.
- To ensure company policies relating to cash handling, stock control and stock ordering are implemented and monitored.
- To ensure all Restaurant employees receive the appropriate training and coaching to provide effective and efficient service in line with Hastings standards.
- To maintain effective communication and relationships with other hotel departments and suppliers to maintain an effective operation and ensure guest satisfaction.
- To ensure the team are knowledgeable about the facilities and services within the hotel and are proactive in the sale of these to guests.
- To ensure you and the team assist guests with any reasonable request for hotel services.
- To ensure you and the team respond to complaints and find the appropriate solution.
- To ensure the security of restaurant and storage areas is maintained at all times.
- To ensure the restaurant areas, fixtures and equipment are properly maintained and presented to Hastings standards.
- To ensure a safe environment is maintained in compliance with health, safety, fire, hygiene and security legislation and company policies and procedures.
- To ensure the hotel’s compliance with all matters relating to licensing laws, Customs and Excise Regulations and all other relevant legislation.
- Any other duties as required by Management.

- Must have previous food and beverage experience.
- Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent with grades A-C in English and Maths.

- Smart well groomed appearance is essential.
