We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic person to become part of our Food & Beverage Team at the exclusive Grand Central Hotel. Under the inspiring leadership of our General Manager, Jake McHugh, you will have the opportunity to work with our friendly team, develop your skills and enjoy the variety offered by a role in hospitality.
The successful candidate can expect to work 35 hours per week (excluding breaks), five shifts out of seven including weekends. Hours vary and will include late finishes. The salary for this full-time position is Β£23,660.00 per annum. About The Role:
- To be responsible for the presentation of the bar and the service of beverages and snacks for greatest enjoyment of our guests.
- To maintain the cleanliness of the service areas according to Hastings Standards.
- To serve food and beverages to guests ensuring the highest standard of service and that all guest needs and expectations are met.
- Typical tasks include bar stocks, preparing and serving beverages, taking orders and payments.
- Greeting guests and responding to their queries.
- To ensure all cash, charges, floats and till procedures are carried out correctly.
- To use equipment and bar pumps efficiently, to maintain proper measures and ensure minimum wastage.
- To always maintain the security of stock areas, immediately reporting any breaches.
- To be knowledgeable about the hotel offerings and be proactive in the sale of these to guests.
- To ensure that guest concerns are dealt with politely and efficiently, reporting them to the Supervisor/Manager on duty.
- To work effectively with colleagues to ensure a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.
- To comply with all health, safety and hygiene policies and procedures.
- Any other duties as required by management.
About You:
We would love you to have some similar previous experience, but this is not essential as our Food and Beverage Managers will provide you with full training.

Must have previous bar experience gained in a quality hotel/bar. Must have a professional appearance. Must have excellent communication and basic numeracy skills. Good Command of English Language.
