Under the inspiring leadership of our Cellars & Stores Manager, Gabor Ferenczi, you will have the opportunity to work with our friendly team, develop your skills and enjoy the variety offered by a role in hospitality.
Hours vary, but typical shift patterns include 6am to 2pm, 7am to 3pm, 8am to 4pm, and 2pm to 10pm. The rate of pay for this casual position ranges from £10.95 to £12.75 per hour depending on age. About The Role:
- To be responsible for the effective running of cellars and stores, for the greatest enjoyment of the guests and maximum resource efficiency for the hotel.
- To receive and store incoming goods, ensuring all documentation is accurate and in accordance with company policies.
- To ensure that all goods leaving the storeroom, cellars or loading bay are supported by properly authorised requisitions.
- To ensure all stock is stored in the best possible conditions to reduce spoilage and damage, maintaining an effective stock rotation system to eliminate wastage, immediately reporting any problems.
- To empty bottle skips on a daily basis, maintaining a clean and tidy environment.
- To ensure staff enter and leave via staff entrance in the loading bay, and in conjunction with management to carry out spot checks of staff and their personal items in accordance with hotel policy.
- To maintain adequate security of loading bay area, being vigilant for pilferage of stock and hotel property, and carry out security surveillance patrols in accordance with company policies, immediately reporting any breaches of security.
- To work effectively with colleagues to ensure a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.
- To comply with all health, safety, fire, hygiene and security policies and procedures.
- Any other duties as required by management.
