Under the leadership of our Executive Head Housekeeper, you will have the opportunity to work with our friendly team, develop your skills, and enjoy the variety offered by a role in hospitality.
This is a casual position offering a rate of £9.55 to £12.75 per hour depending on your age. We offer a range of benefits including free staff meals, employee discounts and opportunities for career progression and development.
About The Role
- To ensure that all housekeeping areas within the hotel are cleaned and presented to the Hastings Standard for the greatest enjoyment of our guests.
- To clean and service bedrooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas of the hotel.
- Typical tasks include vacuuming, mopping, cleaning toilets, stripping and making beds.
- To ensure all equipment and materials are used in the correct manner and any problems are reported immediately.
- To always maintain the security of bedrooms and stock, immediately reporting any breaches and dealing with lost property in accordance with company procedures.
- To work effectively with colleagues to ensure a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.
- To be knowledgeable about the hotel offerings and be proactive in the sale of these to guests.
- Greeting guests and responding to their queries.
- To ensure that guest concerns are dealt with politely and efficiently, reporting them to the Supervisor/Manager on duty.
- To comply with all health, safety and hygiene policies and procedures.
- Any other duties as required by management.
