If so, we would welcome you to apply for the position of Maintenance Assistant at the 5-Star Culloden Estate & Spa. Located on the outskirts of Belfast City, the 18th century estate features 12 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, a palatial spa, restaurants, and 98 bedrooms, all requiring a high standard of maintenance.
Under the leadership of our Facilities Manager, you will have the opportunity to work with our friendly team, develop your skills, and enjoy the variety offered by a role in hospitality. The successful candidate can expect to work mainly daytime hours, 3 shifts out of 7 on a rota basis to include weekends. About The Role
- To assist with routine and remedial work to ensure equipment and facilities are maintained.
- To assist with ensuring adequate and appropriate spares and parts stock and records are kept up to date.
- To assist in ensuring all emergency equipment is maintained and in working order.
- To ensure that emergency procedures are effective, implemented, and appropriate training is carried out.
- To assist with the maintenance of a safe environment in compliance with health, safety, fire, hygiene and security legislation and company policies and procedures.
- To assist with effective communication and relationships with other hotel departments, suppliers and agencies to maintain an effective operation and ensure guest satisfaction.
- To assist in promoting and encouraging a harmonious working environment where all staff are treated with respect and dignity.
- Any other duties as required by management.
Required Criteria
- A right to work within the United Kingdom
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good communication, numeracy and IT skills
- Educated to Level 2 (GCSE Grades A-C) or the equivalent in English and Mathematics
- Previous experience in a relevant role such as maintenance person, tradesperson, caretaker, or facilities
- Previous experience gained within a commercial building
Desired Criteria
- Previous experience in a Hotel setting or other hospitality environment
- Qualifications and/or experience in a trade such as joinery, plumbing, or electrical
