When we work together we can do amazing things. We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic person to become part of our housekeeping team at the exclusive Everglades Hotel. Under the leadership of our Executive Head Housekeeper, Dorota Lewinska, you will have the opportunity to work with our friendly team, develop your skills, and enjoy the variety offered by a role in hospitality.

The rate of pay for this casual position ranges from £9.55 to £12.75 per hour, depending on your age. Hours vary but typical shift patterns are 9am-3pm and 8am-3pm with later finishes when required. We are seeking an individual who is able to work weekdays and weekends. About The Role

  • To ensure that all housekeeping areas within the hotel are cleaned and presented to the Hastings Standard for the greatest enjoyment of our guests.
  • To clean and service bedrooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas of the hotel. Typical tasks include vacuuming, mopping, cleaning toilets, stripping and making beds.
  • To ensure all equipment and materials are used in the correct manner and any problems are reported immediately.
  • To always maintain the security of bedrooms and stock, immediately reporting any breaches and dealing with lost property in accordance with company procedures.
  • To work effectively with colleagues to ensure a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.
  • To be knowledgeable about the hotel offerings and be proactive in the sale of these to guests.
  • Greeting guests and responding to their queries.
  • To ensure that guest concerns are dealt with politely and efficiently, reporting them to the Supervisor/Manager on duty.
  • To comply with all health, safety and hygiene policies and procedures.
  • Any other duties as required by management.

About You

  • We would love you to have some similar previous experience, but this is not essential as our Housekeeping Team will provide you with full training.
  • Right to Work in the United Kingdom.
  • Must have good communication skills and a clean and tidy appearance.
  • A team player.

Desired Criteria

  • Previous cleaning experience.
  • Must be educated to GCSE standard or the equivalent with grades A-C in English and Maths.
