We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic person to become part of our Hotel Reception Team at the exclusive, five-star Culloden Estate.

  • To be knowledgeable about the facilities and services within the hotel and the amenities and attractions in the locality.
  • To be aware of all hotel services and be proactive in the sale of these to guests.
  • To check in guests on arrival and check them out at the end of their stay, ensuring that the correct procedures are followed for receiving payment.
  • To be responsible for accurate and efficient accounts and guest billing processes.
  • To balance bank, cash, foreign currency and all transactions at the end of your shift.
  • To answer telephone calls from guests and external callers.
  • To assist guests with any reasonable request for hotel services.
  • Respond to complaints and find the appropriate solution.
  • To ensure that the reception area is maintained in a clean and tidy manner in accordance with departmental standards.
  • Report any technical and maintenance needs.
  • To ensure the security of reception and storage areas is maintained always.
  • To comply with all health, safety, hygiene and licensing policies and procedures.
  • To work effectively with colleagues to ensure a harmonious working environment where all staff are treated with respect.
  • Any other duties as required by Management.

Required Criteria

  • A right to work in the United Kingdom.
  • Excellent command of the English Language to at least B2 level.
  • Previous Customer Service experience delivered in person, via email, and via telephone.
  • The ability to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
  • A professional appearance.
  • Educated to level 2 (GCSE grades A-C) or the equivalent in English and Mathematics.
  • Excellent computer literacy.

Desired Criteria

  • Previous experience within a Hotel Reception.
  • Educated to Level 6 (Undergraduate Degree) in a relevant field such as Tourism.
