Under the leadership of our Executive Head Housekeeper, Dorota Lewinska, you will have the opportunity to work with our friendly team, develop your skills, and enjoy the variety offered by a role in hospitality.
The rate of pay for this casual position ranges from £9.55 to £12.75 per hour, depending on your age. Hours vary but typical shift patterns are 9am-3pm and 8am-3pm with later finishes when required. We are seeking an individual who is able to work weekdays and weekends. About The Role:
- To ensure that all housekeeping areas within the hotel are cleaned and presented to the Hastings Standard for the greatest enjoyment of our guests.
- To clean and service bedrooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas of the hotel. Typical tasks include vacuuming, mopping, cleaning toilets, stripping and making beds.
- To ensure all equipment and materials are used in the correct manner and any problems are reported immediately.
- To always maintain the security of bedrooms and stock, immediately reporting any breaches and dealing with lost property in accordance with company procedures.
- To work effectively with colleagues to ensure a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.
- To be knowledgeable about the hotel offerings and be proactive in the sale of these to guests.
- Greeting guests and responding to their queries.
- To ensure that guest concerns are dealt with politely and efficiently, reporting them to the Supervisor/Manager on duty.
- To comply with all health, safety and hygiene policies and procedures.
- Any other duties as required by management.
About You:
- We would love you to have some similar previous experience, but this is not essential as our Housekeeping Team will provide you with full training.
- Right to Work in the United Kingdom.
- Must have good communication skills and a clean and tidy appearance.
- A team player.
Desired Criteria:
- Previous cleaning experience.
- Must be educated to GCSE standard or the equivalent with grades A-C in English and Maths.
