Under the inspiring leadership of our Restaurant Manager, Eimear Courtney, you will have the opportunity to work with our friendly team, develop your skills and enjoy the variety offered by a role in hospitality. Hours vary to cover breakfast, lunch, dinner and evening functions. The rate of pay for this casual position ranges from £9.55 to £12.75 per hour depending on your age.

About The Role

  • To be responsible for serving food & beverages for the greatest enjoyment of our guests.
  • To maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the service areas according to Hastings Standards.
  • To serve food and beverages to guests ensuring the highest standard of service and that all guest needs and expectations are met.
  • Typical tasks include clearing and setting tables, taking orders, serving food and beverages and taking payments.
  • To ensure all cash, charges, floats and till procedures are carried out correctly.
  • Greeting guests and responding to their queries.
  • To ensure all equipment and materials are used in the correct manner and any problems are reported immediately.
  • To always maintain the security of stock areas, immediately reporting any breaches.
  • To be knowledgeable about the hotel offerings and be proactive in the sale of these to guests.
  • To ensure that guest concerns are dealt with politely and efficiently, reporting them to the Supervisor/Manager on duty.
  • To work effectively with colleagues to ensure a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.
  • To comply with all health, safety and hygiene policies and procedures.
  • Any other duties as required by management.

About You

  • We would love you to have some similar previous experience, but this is not essential as our Food and Beverage Team will provide you with full training.
  • Good Command of English Language.
  • Right to Work in the United Kingdom.
  • Must have excellent communication and basic numeracy skills.
  • Must have a professional appearance.
