The Halt is our newest concept bar located in the former Europa Bus Station right in the heart of Belfast City Centre. Whether it's grabbing a coffee on the commute or catching up with friends over pints, cocktails, and casual bites, The Halt will be a vibrant, contemporary space with great atmosphere and great people. We are now on the lookout for a passionate and reliable Venue Manager to lead this new chapter.
Under the inspiring leadership of Andrew McNeill, General Manager of the Europa Hotel, you'll oversee all aspects of the day-to-day operation of The Halt. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. You will lead a small but energetic team, manage full food and beverage control, and deliver an unforgettable guest experience that reflects the authentic vibe of Belfast City.
About The Role
- Manage and motivate your team through effective communication, training and development.
- Create a working environment that is respectful, supportive, and energising.
- Oversee all operational aspects of The Halt including bar, food service, and front-of-house.
- Ensure full food and beverage stock control, from ordering to waste management.
- Monitor budgets, control costs, and deliver profitable performance across all areas.
- Uphold Hastings Hotels quality standards and promote continual improvement.
- Recruit and onboard team members, ensuring the right people are in the right roles at the right time.
- Proactively deal with customer queries and complaints with warmth and professionalism.
- Liaise effectively with partners, contractors, suppliers and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness, safety, and presentation across the venue.
- Take responsibility for licensing, health and safety, and hygiene in line with legislation and company policy.
