Hastings Hotels is a family owned, luxury hotel group based in Northern Ireland. We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic person to become part of our Food & Beverage Team at the exclusive Europa Hotel. Under the inspiring leadership of our General Manager, Andrew McNeill, you will have the opportunity to work with our friendly team, develop your skills and enjoy the variety offered by a role in hospitality.

The successful candidate can expect to work 35 hours per week (excluding breaks), five shifts out of seven including weekends. The salary for this full-time position is £23,478 per annum. About The Role

  • To be responsible for serving food & beverages for the greatest enjoyment of our guests.
  • To serve food and beverages to guests ensuring the highest standard of service and that all guest needs and expectations are met.
  • Typical tasks include clearing and setting tables, taking orders, serving food and beverages and taking payments.
  • To ensure all cash, charges, floats and till procedures are carried out correctly.
  • Greeting guests and responding to their queries.
  • To ensure all equipment and materials are used in the correct manner and any problems are reported immediately.
  • To always maintain the security of stock areas, immediately reporting any breaches.
  • To be knowledgeable about the hotel offerings and be proactive in the sale of these to guests.
  • To comply with all health, safety and hygiene policies and procedures.

About You

  • We would love you to have some similar previous experience, but this is not essential as our Food and Beverage Team will provide you with full training.
  • Good Command of English Language.
  • Right to Work in the United Kingdom.
  • Must be educated to GCSE level or the equivalent with grades A-C in English and Maths.
  • Must have excellent communication and basic numeracy skills.
  • Must have a professional appearance.
